Explanation about the Prayer to Take Authority
This prayer, without exaggeration, is one of the most powerful prayers on earth.
For those who understand its true meaning, it provides safety, confidence, security, hope and love.

We are able to have this significant prayer because of one man. A man who came to earth to save each and everyone of us and in doing so gave His own life.
This prayer is just one of the benefits that flowed from that sacrifice.
If we say this prayer and truly understand it, we have nothing to fear for ourselves, our families and our friends. They can all be protected by it.
But it is a protection that needs to be constantly revived or renewed. In the same way that our bodies need daily nourishment to survive or continue to enjoy good health, so too does our spiritual life need constant nourishment (protection), and we achieve this by repeating it as often as we feel the need in much the same way as we eat whenever we feel the need.
On earth we are governed by physical laws or the “laws of nature”. If we throw a ball into the air it can only do one thing and that is return to the ground. It is bound by the law of gravity and it has no choice but to follow that law.
The spiritual laws are just as exact. If we truly believe in Jesus Christ we know that He came to earth to save us and He gave His life so that we would have eternal life. In order to attain eternal life we need to have the power to fight and resist evil.
This power is real and available to all of us, and is even more powerful than we could imagine because the devil is also bound by the same spiritual laws. If we order him to leave us (and our family, etc.,) in the name of Jesus Christ, it does not matter what he wants to do, he has no choice but to leave immediately, as he too is subject to the spiritual laws.
While we are on earth we have no choice but to obey or be influenced or governed by the laws of nature. However the spiritual laws are a little different. While they are there and we can be influenced by them we have the choice of whether we want to use them or not. This does not mean that we are not influenced by them or by evil, it is just that we have the choice of whether we want to use them (or live by them) for the benefit of ourselves and our families.
If we truly understand and believe this then we can use the Prayer to take authority to remove any adversity from ourselves and our family.
