Prayer to the Holy Face: Loving Jesus with St Therese
Explanation about Prayer to the Holy Face
The Prayer to the Holy Face, composed by St Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, invites us to contemplate the love of Jesus revealed through His suffering.
Devotion to the Holy Face held a special place in St Therese’s prayer life. Looking upon the suffering Face of Jesus, she recognised His infinite love and desired to love Him more deeply and help others come to love Him too.
Through this prayer, we ask Jesus to imprint His likeness upon our hearts and set them aflame with His love. It draws us into prayer for sinners and invites us to grow in compassion, humility and love, with the hope of one day contemplating His glorious Face in Heaven.

My heart says of you, "Seek his face!"
